After acquiring an ultrabook with only (2) USB 3.0 ports, I wanted a hub to expand the opporunity to connect flash drives, wired gigaspeed network adapter, printer, etc. This hub is a quality device that hosts incredibly fast transfer speeds, and my USB 3.0 network adapter blazes on my network and the Internet. While it is rather sloppy to have all these wires and drives sticking out of my sleek ultrabook, this hub makes my new laptop fully functional and useful. I recommend this product

I've tried two other usb 3.0 hubs (v-tech and medialink) and had no success with those hubs consistently working. I've had the Uspeed usb 3.0 7 port hub for several months now and it has consistently performed at a high level. There have been zero error messages nor a port overloading (as with the medialink hub). Currently, I have two 3 TB usb 3.0 external hard drives and a 1.5 TB usb 3.0 portable hard drive plugged into this hub and occasionally I will also plug my phone into it to sync and charge. It handles all of this and everything works optimally. It has a sleek desgin and I appreciate the light that comes on each inddivual port when something is plugged into it and working properly. I highly recommend this hub for its functionality, price, and performance.

Connectland CL-U2MNHUB-4B 4 Ports USB V2.0 Mini Hub (Black). Can you ever have enough USB ports? Of course not. So, looking for something cost effective and worthwhile, I decided to give this a try. It works great! And for less than $10, you can't complain a bit. I don't know why they give you the option to turn off each individual port when you can just unplug it, but no big deal for me. Also, I could not notice a significant drop in data transfer when I plug in my external HDDs to it. Construction does seem a tad cheap, so I'd imagine if you were unplugging and plugging in different cables all day, ever day, it'd probably work some wires loose internally eventually. It serves me great for my use, as most of my USB stuff is a 1 time plug in and I'll never touch them again. But seriously, this thing is dirt cheap, you can't ask for much more!

First of all, I love this hub. It takes up very little space and I can switch on/off whichever port(s 1-4) I want to be active at any given time. I've managed to hook up my Wacom Intuos 4, external HDD, Blackberry phone and usb thumb drive all at once, with no problem at all. There were barely any noticeable lags when files were being transferred back and forth and in addition, the short usb cord attached to the device is ideal for my workspace. Overall, a great product for its price tag and I highly recommend this to anyone in need of a hub.

Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Ultra-Mini Hub

If you need a 4 port unpowered USB hub this one works nicely for me. I have a 4GB SanDisk Cruzer an eleven GB Drive Eight GB Microdrive and a mouse connected. so far every time I power up my laptop everything has always been recognized.

I ordered this mini-hub to hook my external hard drives to my laptop. Works perfectly. I have not noticed any difference between routing the hard drives through this hub or hooking them directly to my laptop. My wireless mouse, USB game controller, and ipod all work flawlessly through this hub as well. Good value for the price.

Plugable USB 2.0 10 Port Hub (with Power Adapter)

As a computer engineer with many, many USB peripherals I could not be happier with this hub. This hub provides very easy access to 10 ports that can sit right there on your desk- no more getting up and searching for a free rear port (if your front ports are already full of course). It works very well without the power supply when devices connected to it are self powered (printers, external HDDs, etc), but don't expect to be able to run all of your USB powered devices (iPods for example) from this hub without it being plugged in to its own outlet. The glowing blue light on top is a very nice aesthetic which also illuminates the inside of the ports (except the two pivoting ports) providing for easy visibility in the dark. I highly recommend this hub.

As a network administrator for eleven years, I have seldom found a product that worked instantly as advertised. I'll grant you that a USB hub isn't the most complex device, but it was a pleasure to plug this in and have it work. I connected it to a Dell server that only had 3 USB ports. It's a well made product that looks and works well. The swivel ports at the top are an excellent design feature. And the price makes this a bargain.
